After almost a year, my time at Flatiron Academy is coming to an end. Following are some of my thoughts about how things went:
My final project with Flatiron Academy is almost done! I’m happy to say that I’ve learned a ton and really enjoyed the learning experience at Flatiron.
My fourth class, JavaScript, focused on the front end user experience. So for my project I chose to make a game - a slot machine - with better odds so the player will generally win. I used Ruby on Rails to provide an interface to a database, but the focus was on the user experience so most of the work went into providing front end functionality (the slot machine).
Hi everyone! It is the 4th week of the pandemic lockdown and I’m finishing my 3rd class with two more to go. Fortunately there is minimal disruption to our classes as we are 100% online. I’m grateful for that because learning about Ruby on Rails has been fun and challenging. Plus it helps keep me busy during this crazy time.
Hello! My project review from my first class went well and I’m happy to say that I was able to progress to my second class. It is now mid-February 2020 and I’m getting ready for another project review.
